It's been a slow start to the ski season in the Pacific Northwest. Here in Sandpoint, there is still less than a foot of snow in the mountains. For the past 2 weekends, I have been making the 6 hour drive to Roger's Pass in British Columbia where although the snowpack is still low for this time of year there's plenty to get in some great adventures. The mountains surrounding Roger's are part of the Selkirk Range and they are true big mountains with endless options for beautiful ski touring.

Scott, must be nice to reach Roger's Pass in a day. With all the recent R.Pass movie attention, my ski buds here in the gnarly front range Colorado ache to ski there.
Welcome to cyber waste, oops I meant cyber space.
I'm also a backcountry ski videographer. I've been packing along my digital camcorder for the past two ski seasons. My friend Chris Miller(the paper-holding Artist with a mac) usually takes charge of an annual video compliation. Chris and girlfriend Eszter's blog are at gooneyriders.com
I've got a Brother in Clark Fork who also skis, though primarily on chairlifts. I'll give you a shout if I'm headed that way during ski season.
